Craig Tiger Act
The Craig Tiger Act ensures that first responders have timely access to high‑quality mental health support after exposure to traumatic events in the line of duty. Its purpose is to provide immediate, appropriate care so responders can stabilize, recover, and return to work and daily life with the support they need. Early intervention helps address concerns before they develop into PTSD or other long‑term conditions.
The Counseling Office is approved by Public Safety Crisis Solutions (PSCS) to accept first responders under the Craig Tiger Act. This allows eligible responders to access confidential, clinically grounded care without delay. I help you understand eligibility, coordinate paperwork, and connect with your agency or benefits administrator so the process is straightforward.
My work is grounded in accessible, culturally informed, and compassionate care for those who carry extraordinary responsibilities. I provide a space where first responders and military personnel can seek clarity, healing, and support without judgment or pressure.

Common Questions
-
Is therapy confidential? Yes. Confidentiality is protected except in situations involving imminent risk or mandated reporting. I can also explain how therapy interacts with EAP, peer support, and agency processes.
-
Will this affect my job? I help you understand what is and isn’t shared with agencies, and how to navigate support options while protecting your privacy.
-
Do you work with families? Yes. Family members often carry their own stress related to responder life, and support is available for them as well.
